I taught early years at Hồ Chí Minh City Grammar School in Hồ Chí Minh City from 1990 to 2009. Most days I taught primary school children, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 420 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
