Tizita Roman Eshetu

Cook and owner of Old Eastgate Cafe

  • 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
  • Old Eastgate Cafe
  • 2004 to 2023
  • English
I run Old Eastgate Cafe in Jimma. We started in 2004 with four tables and one very patient dishwasher. On Sundays I cook for anyone who turns up. I try to remember everyone's name. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Tizita

I still cook the same soup every Friday.
