I've been a nurse for 32 years, most of them in palliative care at Highland Clinic in Addis Ababa. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I make terrible puns.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
