Tizita Liya Eshetu

Early years teacher at Addis Ababa Grammar School, Since 1983

For 43 years I have been the early years teacher at Addis Ababa Grammar School. I teach teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

More about Tizita

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
