Tika Bunga Setiawan
Master of carpentry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Jakarta Shop
- Since 1992
- English
I've worked in carpentry since 1992. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,160 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
I'm still learning every day.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Tika: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
