For eleven years I was the French teacher at Bahir Dar Middle School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
