Tigist Fikir Tilahun
Self-taught embroidery artist
- 🇪🇹 Bahir Dar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Bahir Dar Pottery
- Since 2010
- English, Amharic
I work mostly in embroidery, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 2010 at Bahir Dar Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I try to remember everyone's name. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

I bought one of your pieces in 2012. It's still the first thing I see in the morning. Greetings from Columbus.
