I've worked in masonry since 1997. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 700 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 12 years later for another job.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Tian
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Tian: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
