I taught economics at Orchid Public School in Birmingham from 1989 to 2009. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
Over the years I had 800 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
