Thilini Hasini Gamage
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Trades Guild
- 1978 to 1997
- English, Sinhala, French
I've worked in blacksmithing from 1978 to 1997. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 550 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 15 years later for another job.

What gifts mean to Thilini: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
