Thijs Thijs Van den Berg
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇱 Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
- Old Amsterdam Works
- 2000 to 2019
- Dutch, Spanish
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 2000 in Amsterdam and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I like to keep things simple and honest.
More about Thijs
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Thijs: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
