Themba W. Mabaso
Volunteer mentor with Riverside Foundation
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Since 2010
- English
For 16 years I've mentored people in leadership and first-generation students. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I'm learning the guitar.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Themba
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Themba: A gift would go toward free mentoring sessions for people who can't pay.
