I taught French at Cape Town Secondary School in Cape Town from 1987 to 2015. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Themba
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Themba: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
