Tharun K. Raju
Master of masonry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India
- The Kingsway Workshop
- Since 1985
- English, Tamil
I've worked in masonry since 1985. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 1,390 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I fix old bicycles.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Tharun
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Tharun: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
