I've spent 41 years as a lecturer in mathematics at Hồ Chí Minh City College in Hồ Chí Minh City. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I run most mornings.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Thành: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
