Thandi B. Tshabalala
Master of leatherwork, now teaching apprentices
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Redwood Works
- Since 1991
- English, Zulu, Spanish
I'm a leatherwork specialist. If you live around Soweto, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Thandi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Thandi: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
