Thanasis Lefteris Oikonomou
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇬🇷 Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia, Greece
- Little Frangipani Workshop
- Since 1992
- English, Greek
I've worked in blacksmithing since 1992. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,050 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Thanasis: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
