Thabo T. Van Wyk
Chemistry teacher at Baobab High School, 2004 to 2024

I taught chemistry at Baobab High School in Ekurhuleni from 2004 to 2024. Most days I taught Year 9, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Thabo
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Thabo: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

you taught me chemistry in 2005 at Baobab High School. I still remember the long bus ride home. Truly.

You taught me chemistry in 2015 at Baobab High School. I still remember that terrible school play.
