I teach home economics and social studies at Pioneer Middle School, Haarlem. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
