Martial arts coach, Leeds Liberty Youth Club

- 2009 to 2024

I coached martial arts at Leeds Liberty Youth Club from 2009 to 2024. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Terry: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
