Teguh Andi Salim

Painter, potter and teacher at Old St. Joseph's Gallery

🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
1987 to 2014
English, Indonesian

I work mostly in textiles, sometimes embroidery. My first show was in 1987 at Old St. Joseph's Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. Most of my work is inspired by folk tales I grew up with. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Thank you for stopping by.

More about Teguh

I've had 10 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Teguh: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
