Tatsuya Yusuke Hirano
Self-taught woodcarving artist
- 🇯🇵 Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
- Since 2002
- Japanese
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes illustration. My first show was in 2002 at St. Anne's Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I answer every message, eventually. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
