I taught early years at Brooklyn Middle School in Brooklyn from 1998 to 2011. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
