Tariq Ahmed Butt
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇰 Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan
- Little Quetta Trades Guild
- 2005 to 2017
- English, Urdu
I've worked in weaving from 2005 to 2017. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 250 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Tariq: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
