Tareq Shakil Akter
Local bicycle repair and shoemaking
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Dhaka Trades Guild
- Since 1981
- English, Bengali
I'm a bicycle repair specialist. If you live around Dhaka, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
More about Tareq
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Tareq: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
