I taught agriculture and social studies at St. Anne's Academy, Istanbul. I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 620 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Tarık
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
