I've been a nurse for 24 years, most of them in palliative care at Sakura Maternity Hospital in Jerusalem. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I try to remember everyone's name. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
