Tamaki Hirano
Choir director and singer
- 🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
- Tokyo Ensemble
- Since 1989
- Japanese
I play jazz and accordion. I started in 1989 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 20 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Tamaki
I write my first song when I was 21. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Tamaki: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
