Takeshi Shibata
Chess and fitness coach, Tokyo
- 🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
- Tokyo Sports Club
- Since 1994
- Japanese
For 32 years I've run the chess program at Tokyo Sports Club in Tokyo. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Takeshi
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Takeshi: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

you coached me in 1996. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Guarulhos.
