I spent 24 years as a lecturer in marine biology at Nagoya Polytechnic in Nagoya. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Takashi
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Takashi: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
