Tahmina Lamia Majumder
Bicycle repair, done properly
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- The Mumbai Workshop
- 1996 to 2008
- English
I've worked in bicycle repair from 1996 to 2008. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 620 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
More about Tahmina
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Tahmina: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
