I've been a nurse for 48 years, most of them in neonatal care at Kozhikode Children's Hospital in Kozhikode. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
