I've worked in upholstery from 2002 to 2019. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 510 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Svetlana
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Svetlana: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
