Surafel Tewodros Mekonnen

Photography and watercolor artist

  • 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Old Addis Ababa Pottery
  • 1989 to 2013
  • English, Amharic
I'm a photography artist based in Addis Ababa. I've been making things from 1989 to 2013 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives. I take the work seriously, though not myself. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

More about Surafel

I've had 4 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
