Surafel Nebiyu Haile

Masonry for 27 years in Addis Ababa

  • 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Since 1999
  • English, Amharic
I've worked in masonry since 1999. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 540 apprentices. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.

More about Surafel

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Surafel: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
