I've been a nurse for 39 years, most of them in home care at Brookfield Community Hospital in Addis Ababa. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
