I've been a nurse for 28 years, most of them in palliative care at Khon Kaen Regional Medical Center in Khon Kaen. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else. I take the work seriously, though not myself. Small things matter when someone is frightened. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
