Sunita Binita Shrestha
Biology and Spanish teacher, Kathmandu
- 🇳🇵 Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal
- Gateway Academy
- Since 1997
- English, Nepali
For 29 years I have been the biology teacher at Gateway Academy. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Sunita
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Sunita: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I failed biology twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you. Greetings from Istanbul.

You taught me biology in 2021 at Gateway Academy. I still remember the snow day nobody expected.
