Sumbal Bisma Hanif
Master of tiling, now teaching apprentices
- 🇵🇰 Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan
- Little Mount Pleasant Shop
- 1993 to 2006
- English, Urdu
I've worked in tiling from 1993 to 2006. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 310 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Sumbal: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
