Sumaiya Sultana Barua
Choir director and singer
- 🇧🇩 Chattogram, Chattogram, Bangladesh
- Frangipani Orchestra
- Since 2006
- English, Bengali
I play brass band and guitar. I started in 2006 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 19 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Sumaiya
I write my first song when I was 21. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Sumaiya: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
