Sultana Salma Sultana
Master of masonry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Gazipur, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Gazipur Workshop
- 1997 to 2016
- English, Bengali
I've worked in masonry from 1997 to 2016. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 800 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
What gifts mean to Sultana: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
