I taught home economics at Andes Boys' School in New Delhi from 1986 to 2021. Most days I taught Year 7, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 1,680 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
