I taught accounting at Acacia Middle School in Los Angeles from 1996 to 2012. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I never once raised my voice.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
