I coached tennis at London Mount Pleasant Boxing Gym from 1980 to 2016. Most of my players were between 9 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.

What gifts mean to Stella: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the day the fire alarm went off during the exam. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Dar es Salaam.
