I've worked in shoemaking from 1994 to 2021. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 860 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
