Sowmya H. Nayak
Youth athletics coach and mentor
- 🇮🇳 Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
- Jacaranda Youth Club
- 1999 to 2019
- English
For 20 years I ran the athletics program at Jacaranda Youth Club in Bengaluru. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Sowmya: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
