Sowmya F. Gowda
Painter, potter and teacher at Indore Art Collective
- 🇮🇳 Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India
- 2000 to 2020
- English
I work mostly in illustration, sometimes photography. My first show was in 2000 at Indore Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by faces I pass in the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Sowmya
I've had 12 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Sowmya: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
