Sowmya B. Subramanian
Thatching for 19 years in Varanasi
- 🇮🇳 Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India
- Old Varanasi Works
- Since 2007
- English, Malayalam
I'm a thatching specialist. If you live around Varanasi, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm learning the guitar.
More about Sowmya
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Sowmya: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
