For 27 years I have been the economics teacher at Redwood Middle School. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,160 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Sowmya
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Sowmya: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
