Sowmya A. Iyengar
Traditional drumming player and teacher in Mumbai
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Mumbai Orchestra
- 1997 to 2012
- English, Telugu
I play traditional drumming and jazz. I started in 1997 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
My favorite gigs are the small ones where somebody cries a little in the third row.

What gifts mean to Sowmya: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
